About Us
As the Founder and Managing Director of Mode Projects, please allow me to share why I believe we stand out from the competition and should be considered as your preferred house or extension builder, in the South Manchester & Cheshire area.
As a Chartered Surveyor with over 25 years’ experience, I have a thorough understanding of all manner of construction and the engineering needed to achieve it. Not all local building construction firms carry this level of experience and expertise.
You won’t hear any sales patter from me or the team. We’re exceptionally realistic. We base our costs on what actually needs to be done, not what will win us the business, creating budget problems at a later date.
Mode Projects is the residential arm of Dooley Associates, my award-winning project management company focusing on commercial construction and development, with a growing specialism and reputation in historical building development. Although you’ll be looking at this site for residential purposes, our UK wide, cross-sector experience of nearly 20 years means we can share extensive industry knowledge, trends and contacts within the construction industry.
Mode has grown organically since our creation in 2007. We are financially very stable, having no loans, overdrafts or private equity investors to appease.
We have an excellent Health & Safety record on our sites and are proud to have had no reportable accidents or prohibition notices on any of our projects. Site safety and the welfare of the construction team are paramount to us and for our supply chain partners.
In terms of insurance, we carry contractor all risk insurance for our projects in addition to the mandatory public and employers’ liability cover.
We always endeavour to use suppliers local to the Manchester and Cheshire area and have built up a reliable network of suppliers and contractors, which underpins our trustworthy reputation.
Sustainability is important to us and is factored in when managing our construction sites. Plastic waste is minimised and where possible, we separate offcut or packaging timber for recycling in addition to reusing any project related hardcore.
One of the aspects of Mode I am most proud of however, is that almost all of our business comes through referrals from previous, extremely happy clients. I think that speaks volumes of the team here, their approachability and the service levels they provide.

Stay positive: Why would you want to work with suppliers who are unenthusiastic, tired, obstructive or negative? At Mode Projects, we walk on the sunny side of the street.
It’s easy to put up a list of values and never look at them again. The difference with Mode Projects is that we don’t have to look at them. We have always operated this way and have simply captured our approach in words.
