Frequently Asked Questions
As an experienced and reliable Cheshire and Manchester house builder, we are frequently asked a great many similar questions. Understandably, most are asked during the early stages when clients are considering a building project, to help decide who their construction partner should be. We’ve compiled a number of the more common questions here, but clearly this list is far from exhaustive, so please get in touch with us at office@mode-projects.co.uk if you have a specific query you’d appreciate some advice on. Our friendly and approachable team will be happy to share their experience on a no obligation basis.

As you will probably have guessed, we can’t answer this for you here but it’s an understandable question. Planning permission depends on the nature of your project both in terms of scale and position on the plot, if it’s an existing property. Many improvements would fall within permissible development planning regulations, in which case no formal planning consent would be required.
Whether you’re considering building an extension or carrying out refurbishment in Cheshire or South Manchester, regardless of planning permission, the project will still need to adhere to building regulations. Our team at Mode Projects would handle this for you and could provide early-stage advice on whether formal planning permission would be required.
