What have Rihanna, Take That and The Proclaimers got in common?

Not artists that you’d usually associate together but in 2007 they all topped the British music charts and in Rihanna’s case, for 10 consecutive weeks throughout the summer, with Umbrella. Something which cursed the British weather as it became one of the wettest summers on record.

2007 was also the year that Mode Projects was formed. So, whilst it wasn’t great building weather that summer, it was a great summer if you were looking for a creative and enthusiastic house builder in Bramhall, Wilmslow, Hale Barns, Prestbury, South Manchester or Cheshire.

2022 is Mode Projects 15th birthday year and a lot has happened since The Proclaimers were walking 500 Miles for Comic Relief, not least a global credit crunch, Brexit, an ongoing pandemic and another recession. But throughout it all, Mode Projects have been building extensions, new houses, refurbishing properties and landscaping all over South Manchester and Cheshire.

Brendan Dooley, our founder and Managing Director says:
“When you look at the last 15 years, it works out that almost 1 in 2 have had some sort of major financial global difficulty. Yet we’ve continued to deliver stunning forever homes and spacious extensions for our clients, throughout every single year. We’re proud of the reputation we’ve built in our South Manchester and Cheshire heartland, with many clients coming back to us, having moved on to new properties.”

As Covid restrictions begin to be lifted once again, the number of enquiries we’re receiving for house extensions and house remodelling are also on the rise. As this blog goes to print, the current number one is ‘Fingers Crossed’ by Lauren Spencer-Smith, but at Mode, we’re massively optimistic and are relying on something a little more concrete for success in 2022 – our well-earned reputation as the Cheshire builder.
